Children’s publishing and e-commerce · Case study

A digital home designed to feel like opening the book.

Natalia Woods needed a complete identity and website that could carry the warmth, rhythm and gentle mischief of Buddy and the Great Pet Rescue into a real digital experience. The site had to feel like a story world, while remaining useful for parents, gift buyers and readers.

Scope

Complete brand and WordPress website

The moment before the work

The website needed to hold the same feeling as the book, before a reader reached the first page.

Brand direction, website design and WordPress build were shaped around Natalia’s energy and the tactile character of an independent picture book. The result brings illustration, book detail and an easy shop journey together without turning the experience into a generic author template.

The guiding principle

From real life to rhyme.

Warm paper tones, illustration, gentle movement and a book-led interface make the digital experience feel welcoming to both children and the adults choosing for them.

The work in practice

The experience on screen.

Real desktop and mobile views, shown as part of the project story rather than as a gallery of disconnected screens.

What the work needed to do

A considered response to a specific client world.

01

A complete author identity

The brand gives Natalia a recognisable visual and verbal setting for a story that begins with the personality of Buddy.

02

A website with book-world texture

The interface uses illustration, cover art and playful movement to create a site that feels closer to a reading experience than a conventional catalogue.

03

A useful shop journey

The WordPress build gives readers and gift buyers a clear route from discovery to book detail and purchase.

Visual system

A brand world with its own internal logic.

Warm cream, rose pink and mint sky create the reading base. Illustration and book-world detail create the sense of play, with a golden Buddy accent used sparingly.

Built to be used

The visual choices are held together by a clear, responsive content structure so the site can remain useful across desktop and mobile, not simply look distinctive in a single screen.

A considered digital experience changes the quality of a first conversation

A children’s book can begin to build anticipation long before it is opened.

If your business has outgrown its current website, a thoughtful conversation can reveal what would create the strongest next step.
