2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, business information, correspondence and information connected with an order. When you purchase a digital product, WooCommerce records the order and delivery information needed to process payment, provide the download and support you afterwards.

We also collect limited technical and usage information through cookies and similar technologies. This can include pages viewed, device and browser information, approximate location derived from an IP address, referral source and interactions with the website. We do not ask for or intentionally collect special category personal data through the website.

3. Why we use personal information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, deliver consultancy and digital products, process and support orders, maintain website security, improve the website and meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. Where you have asked to hear from us, we may send marketing communications in line with the choices you make.

We rely on contract where information is needed to provide a product or service, legitimate interests where we need to run and improve the business in a balanced way, legal obligation where the law requires us to keep or disclose information, and consent where this is required, including for non essential cookies.

4. Cookies and consent

Essential cookies are used so that the website and WooCommerce checkout work correctly. These include cookies that keep a basket active, support secure payment and remember the privacy choices you make. They are necessary for the service you request.

We use a consent banner to give you a clear choice about non essential cookies. You can accept or reject marketing cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using the cookie settings link on the site.

Subject to your marketing consent, we may use Meta website measurement to understand whether Mimi G Consulting Facebook and Instagram activity leads visitors to relevant Playbook pages, baskets, checkouts and completed purchases. This helps us measure advertising, improve the relevance of future marketing and limit repeated advertising. Meta measurement is not loaded through this website until you have opted in to marketing cookies.

Where enabled by consent, Meta may receive technical information such as browser and device information, IP address, pages visited, actions taken on the site and identifiers stored in cookies. Meta processes this information under its own privacy information as well as our settings. We do not use Meta measurement to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you.

Our current cookie categories and details are set out in the Cookie Policy. You can also manage your cookie choices.

5. Payments, digital products and service providers

We use WooCommerce to administer orders and approved payment providers to process payments. We do not receive or store full payment card details. We may also use specialist providers for website hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, security, accounting and customer support where necessary to run the business. These providers may process personal information only as needed for the relevant service and under appropriate contractual or legal safeguards.

6. Sharing information and international transfers

We do not sell personal information. We may share it with trusted service providers, professional advisers, payment and technology partners, or public authorities where the law requires this. Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable data protection law, such as an adequacy decision or contractual protections.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Order, payment and accounting records may be retained for the periods required by tax and accounting law. Enquiry and consultancy records are reviewed periodically and deleted or anonymised when no longer needed. Cookie choices remain in place for the period shown in the Cookie Policy unless you change them sooner.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase or restrict use of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, withdraw consent at any time where consent is used, and ask for a portable copy of information you have provided. To make a request, please email mimi@mimigconsulting.co.uk.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please contact us first so that we can try to resolve the matter. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

9. Contact and changes to this policy

For questions about this policy or the way we use your information, please contact mimi@mimigconsulting.co.uk. We may update this policy when our services, technology or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be available on this page with its revision date.
